The Deep Blue series from Velodyne Acoustics was completely redesigned for this purpose. Drivers, amplifier electronics, cabinet, and all other components are precisely matched to ensure impressive performance with minimal space requirements. A key element for this is, of course, a chassis capable of achieving large excursions with maximum precision. Therefore, the forward-facing 8-inch driver features an elaborately designed quadruple voice coil and a double magnet, which together enable an impressive bass foundation with maximum control.      <\/p>\n<h2>Compact Cabinet, Full Control <\/h2>\n<p>The generously dimensioned MDF material has been extensively braced inside the DB-8 to counteract resonances. As a result, the cabinets of the entire Deep Blue series do not come to the acoustic foreground and leave the \u201cbass stage\u201d to the drivers. Correspondingly tuned electronics are no less important for a subwoofer. The amplifier unit therefore delivers a powerful 300 watts RMS and 800 watts peak power, making it well-prepared for rapidly changing beats and effect-laden blockbusters. For connection, RCA input jacks for the left and right channels and a dedicated subwoofer input with pass-through option are available.
