Subwoofer specialist Velodyne Acoustics presents numerous new products at ISE 2025 (Integrated Systems Europe) from February 4 to 7, which will make the hearts of home theater enthusiasts beat faster and walls tremble. The focus of the show is the brand new SPL-X series, which will be exclusively shown for the first time at ISE 2025. Those who want to see the powerful active subwoofers for themselves will have the opportunity to do so at Velodyne Acoustics at booth 2J405 in Hall 2.

The New SPL-X Subwoofer Series – the Highlight of the Show

The SPL-X series from Velodyne Acoustics is built on the same innovative DSP platform that already ensures outstanding performance in the MiniVee X and SC1500 models. With significantly expanded functionality, the SPL-X subwoofers are available in sizes 10″, 12″, 15″, and 18″. The attractive cabinet design with curved side walls is modeled after the “Digital Drive Plus” models. High wall thicknesses of 38 millimeters and internal bracing, which also support the powerful magnet systems of the high-performance drivers, ensure an ultra-stable construction of the SPL-X subwoofers. The elegantly shaped subwoofers are powered by load-stable amplifier modules with outputs ranging from 1,000 watts RMS (SPL-X 10) to 1,800 watts RMS (SPL-X 18). The newly designed drivers with carbon fiber membranes are optimized for maximum performance thanks to four-layer wound voice coils in 102-millimeter format (76 mm for SPL-X 10), double centering spiders, and triple ventilated drive units.
High-quality inputs and outputs in balanced and unbalanced versions, as well as stable speaker terminals, allow the SPL-X models to be used versatilely in hi-fi and home theater systems. The Velodyne Acoustics AutoEQ app enables convenient and extensive control of the SPL-X subwoofers and allows adaptation to the room and individual listening preferences. The included microphone automatically measures the room with the help of the AutoEQ function and effortlessly optimizes the performance of the SPL-X subwoofers. Home theater enthusiasts and acoustic professionals will be thrilled by the advanced setting options: the slope steepness of crossover frequencies and subsonic filters can be extensively manipulated, the output filters can be influenced, and the power settings and delay can be individually adjusted. Additionally, a night mode with reduced power can be activated.

All New Products from Velodyne Acoustics in Barcelona

At ISE in Barcelona, numerous other new products from Velodyne Acoustics can be marveled at. As the ultimate bass solution for passive subwoofers, Velodyne presents the DSP-controlled subwoofer amplifier SC1500 with app control and automatic calibration. Thanks to 2-ohm load stability and 1,500 watts of power, the SC1500 is also an ideal partner in large home theater setups.
The further developed subwoofers SC-IW600X and SC-IWDVR integrate almost invisibly into room walls. Revised technology and drivers optimize the sound and make the subwoofers even more powerful.
The popular subwoofer MiniVee X is now available in high-gloss white and in a limited edition as a special model with a transparent acrylic glass cabinet that makes the technology visible.
The Velodyne Wi-Connect System II, which will be presented at ISE 2025, has also been revised and made even more powerful. It allows active subwoofers or active speakers to be supplied wirelessly with an audio signal and permits flexible placement of hi-fi devices in the room.
